Job Description:

As part of the new product introduction (NPI) team, the MEMS process engineer will drive the on-time delivery of xMEMS prototypes. This includes verifying and modifying mask design, building the device in a cleanroom, performing initial device characterization and handing it to the production team. The work requires the candidate to delve deeply into process design, process DOE, and process for manufacturability.

Interfacing with multiple teams in the company as well as outside vendors is required to ensure successful on-time completion of the device fabrication. This is a critical and exciting role that provides interesting challenges to a self-motivated and independent thinker with constant exposure to new technology developed by the Company.

  • Bachelor or Master degree with a minimum of 5 years wafer process experience or a PhD with substantial, demonstrated wafer process experience as part of the PhD thesis work
  • Demonstrated work with hands-on wafer process using semiconductor process equipment
  • Experience in MEMS process is a big plus
  • Experience with mask layout using a CAD program
  • Experience with wafer inspection and metrology tools
  • Experience with MEMS or semiconductor device characterization using electronics measurement equipment
  • This position requires the candidate to spend over 50% of work time in a cleanroom environment.

Systems Hardware Engineer

  • Transform design concepts or block diagrams into custom system hardware solutions
  • Design, implement, debug and characterize embedded systems with end-to-end ownership of EE product design
  • Design 3D systems housings, schematics, complete board layouts, assembly, test, debug, and integrate designs into prototype and demonstration consumer audio systems
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party contract manufacturers to produce our demonstration systems
  • Drive the resolution of technical issues by working with the cross-functional teams: Electrical, Mechanical, SW, Quality, Reliability as well as the various CM teams
  • Perform lab measurements, and factory tests as needed to validate the design and resolve any issues
  • Track test progress, bugs, and fixes and produce regular progress reports
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in mobile system design, hardware architecture, board design, board bring-up and product NPI experience. Audio/acoustic systems design experience is a plus.
  • Experience with low-power circuit design, power management methods, audio circuit design, and analog design
  • Experience with processor architecture, digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.
  • Experience with mixed-signal board-level design
  • Experience developing robust designs for ESD/EMI immunities and RF de-sensitization
  • Experience integrating RF technologies such as Bluetooth
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Chinese fluently
