We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Director to own and elevate the xMEMS brand voice across every channel. You’ll be the strategic leader behind our corporate messaging, digital presence, media relations, and event marketing—translating deeply technical innovation into compelling narratives that resonate with OEM partners, investors, press, and the broader tech ecosystem. This is a high-visibility role with significant creative latitude and cross-functional influence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Corporate Messaging & Brand Strategy: Define and maintain the xMEMS brand narrative, voice, and visual identity. Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints—from product launches to investor communications.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing: Own the strategy and execution for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Build an engaged following within the semiconductor, audio, Edge AI, consumer electronics, and data center communities.
  • Web & SEO: Drive the evolution of xmems.com as a best-in-class destination for partners, press, and talent. Manage SEO/SEM programs to maximize organic visibility and inbound leads.
  • Graphic Design & Content: Oversee creation of high-impact collateral—product briefs, white papers, infographics, videos, and campaign assets. Partner with external agencies and freelancers as needed.
  • Trade Shows & Events: Lead the planning and execution of xMEMS’s presence at marquee events like CES, MWC, Computex, SEMICON, and industry conferences. Manage booth design, speaking opportunities, and event marketing.
  • Press & Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key tech journalists and analysts. Develop press kits, coordinate interviews, manage embargoes, and drive earned media coverage.
  • Analytics & Performance: Establish KPIs for all marcomm channels. Instrument campaigns, report on results, and continuously optimize spend and creative based on data.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing marcomm team. Foster a culture of creative excellence and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing communications experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role—ideally in semiconductors, consumer electronics, or deep-tech hardware.
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, compelling stories for diverse audiences across consumer and data center.
  • Track record of building and executing integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, events, and content.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO/SEM, marketing automation, analytics platforms, and CMS tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; portfolio of published work or campaigns a plus.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Job Summary:

xMEMS Labs is redefining sound and cooling with its breakthrough piezoMEMS platform. We created the world’s first solid-state MEMS speakers—powering AI glasses, earbuds, headphones, and smartwatches—and the first μCooling fan-on-a-chip, enabling improved thermal performance in smartphones, AI glasses, SSDs, and beyond.

We are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support customer integration, platform development, and performance optimization of advanced xMEMS MEMS Speaker audio solutions. This role bridges hardware platform design, R&D collaboration, and customer-facing technical support, helping enable successful design-in and commercialization across next-generation audio wearable products. The position involves both hands-on lab work and direct engagement with customers and field application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct engineering support to key customers, ODM/CM partners, and Field Applications Engineers during design-in, validation, and commercialization
  • Develop xMEMS hardware platforms, including schematic design, PCB design, and firmware development
  • Characterize, validate, and debug electrical and acoustic system performance
  • Perform electrical assembly, soldering, and bring-up of demo and evaluation systems
  • Lead acoustic system tuning and performance optimization for micro speaker modules and related audio platforms
  • Conduct lab measurements and validation, including SPL, THD, frequency response, and electrical signal integrity
  • Troubleshoot field and customer issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution across hardware and system levels
  • Collaborate closely with IC design engineers to define design requirements based on customer use cases and system needs
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, DSP, acoustic, product, and test engineers to support product development and customer deployment
  • Develop technical collateral including datasheets, application notes, reference designs, and technical articles
  • Support technical communication with customers through clear verbal, written, and specification-level documentation
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in the electronics industry, preferably with mixed-signal audio amplifier, power, or related hardware background
  • Strong customer-facing experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with component selection, schematic entry, and PCB layout design concepts; Cadence or Altium preferred
  • Strong lab experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers, and related bench equipment
  • Audio system test experience using platforms such as Audio Precision, SoundCheck, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of acoustic fundamentals, transducers, and audio system performance validation
  • Experience debugging electrical and acoustic hardware issues in a hands-on development environment
  • Ability to read, write, and work from detailed technical specifications
  • Strong ability to collaborate with mechanical, DSP, acoustic, and third-party engineering teams

Job Summary:

xMEMS has Reinvented Sound reproduction with the world’s first monolithic Piezo-MEMS µSpeakers. xMEMS µSpeakers are small formfactor, ultra-hi-fidelity speakers used in consumer earbuds (Wired & Wireless) OWS, gaming headsets, VR/AR goggles OTC hearing enhancement devices, professional in-ear-monitors for musicians, and other audio wearables. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative team supporting the Southern China market.

In this role, you will be a technical resource to existing customers while working with Sales Director and local distributors. The ideal candidate will be building friendly relationships with customer and technical partners. This position requires excellent communication skills, patience and prompt completion of time-sensitive actions items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support as a lead FAE for key customers, remotely and at customer sites worldwide, to win and support accounts. Examples of technical support include assisting the design-in process by solving acoustic and electrical problems, answering product questions, reviewing hardware, and hands-on hardware debugging.
  • Support customer with design and integration of xMEMS silicon speakers in TWS, headphone, hearing health, smart glasses and audio playback systems. Perform tasks including creating and presenting customer demonstrations; tuning of xMEMS devices; performing audio performance measurements; demonstration xMEMS products.
  • Support customers with audio amplifiers designs, with tasks such as amplifier performance measurements and device bring-up and configuration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of directly related experience in audio applications or systems engineering.
  • Strong experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with hardware tools such as B&K, GRAS, Audio Precision, Listen Inc. (Soundcheck) or similar.
  • Understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques.
  • Experienced setting up and operating audio equipment including mixers, amplifiers, equalizers, compressors.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.

  • History of working with large companies such as Harman, Vivo, OPPO, etc.
  • Shown working experience with ODMs in the Southern China area
  • Has experience working with multiple Distributors in territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (English & Mandarin), presentation and interpersonal skills
