Job Summary:

xMEMS is Reinventing Sound with the world’s first monolithic, solid-state MEMS micro speakers. xMEMS’ speakers are small form-factor, ultra-high-fidelity speakers used in consumer earbuds (wired and TWS), medical hearing aids, OTC hearing assistance devices, audiophile in-ear monitors, gaming headsets AR/VR goggles and other audio wearables. This is a unique opportunity to lead business development efforts and partnerships in China that will transition consumer audio from century-old, coil-based speakers to solid-state MEMS for sound reproduction.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, motivated, and proven business development leader with a track record of success creating partnerships, initiatives and strategies that help the company achieve yearly revenue and growth targets. The role will report to the VP of Marketing & Business Development. This is an opportunity to join an elite team with a track record of success in building and scaling MEMS semiconductor businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating in a start-up, high-growth, high-intensity environment, this will include:

  • Alongside Sales, be a primary contact point and subject matter expert in customer engagements, evangelizing xMEMS technologies/products and capabilities.
  • Identify key ecosystem players in xMEMS’ served markets and cultivate strong technical and business relationships that accelerate OEM/ODM adoption of xMEMS technology.
  • Planning and execution of xMEMS participation in industry events, trade shows, seminars and other media events in China that are strategic to establishing and maintaining company leadership in our core markets. Be the Company spokesperson at key events.
  • Drive the media and communications strategy in China to raise awareness of the xMEMS brand. Manage 3rd party marketing communications firm.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Field Engineering, Applications and Marketing teams to align product and solution strategies to new and emerging markets.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing/management or sales of semiconductors to mobile consumer electronics OEMs/ODMs
  • Track record of success in product definition, launch, and sustained market leadership in consumer semiconductors
  • Ability to work independently and achieve goals in a fast-moving start-up environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% to achieve business development objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer audio semiconductors, systems or software, with preferred exposure to the semiconductor industry
  • Existing consumer System-on-Chip (SoC) and other HW/SW ecosystem partner relationships at senior leadership level, including BES, Qualcomm, MediaTek, Airoha, Bluetrum, Jieli.
  • Existing relationships with tier-1 consumer electronics ODM/manufacturing partners in Asia with an emphasis on China.
Location:
  • This position will be based in China (Shenzhen or Shanghai regions are preferred).
Job Summary:

xMEMS is Reinventing Sound with the world’s first monolithic, solid-state MEMS microspeakers for consumer audio devices. This is a unique opportunity to help lead the transition in sound production from century-old coil- based speakers to solid state MEMS.

This is an entirely new transduction mechanism with unique, never-before-seen characteristics. As the Audio Applications Engineer you will be constructing reference designs, writing technical collateral, supporting and training field teams and assisting the world’s leading consumer electronics OEMs with the successful commercial launch of personal audio devices using xMEMS microspeakers.

This position requires familiarity with the full audio hardware/software signal chain and apply innovation in signal simulation/emulation and measurement. This is an opportunity to join an elite system engineering team of mechanical, DSP and acoustic engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for xMEMS field personnel.
  • Development of technical collateral including datasheets, application notes, and technical articles.
  • Develop and debug cost effective HW reference design and demonstration platforms for high performance personal audio subsystems.
  • Design, develop and integrate audio signal chain tool for system performance tuning and validation.
  • Conducting technical training for field personnel and customers on product or application specific topics
  • Guiding customers through system testing, debugging, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate and communicate closely with IC Design engineers and Systems engineers to understand and define design requirements and customer use cases.
  • Contribute to next-generation audio product definition.
Qualifications:
  • BS Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry with acoustic and audio EE related background.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Lab experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Experience in analyzing, tuning, debugging and validating audio software and hardware system.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with Mechanical engineers, DSP engineers, Acoustic engineers and 3rd parties including end-customers and/or ODM/CM partners.
  • Outstanding technical problem solver, with ability to scope out, plan, and lead others to investigate and solve challenging problems.
  • Comfortable with reading and writing detailed technical specifications.
  • Tier 1 customer support experience is a plus.

Job Summary:

xMEMS has Reinvented Sound reproduction with the world’s first monolithic Piezo-MEMS µSpeakers. xMEMS µSpeakers are small formfactor, ultra-hi-fidelity speakers used in consumer earbuds (Wired & Wireless) OWS, gaming headsets, VR/AR goggles OTC hearing enhancement devices, professional in-ear-monitors for musicians, and other audio wearables. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative team supporting the Southern China market.

In this role, you will be a technical resource to existing customers while working with Sales Director and local distributors. The ideal candidate will be building friendly relationships with customer and technical partners. This position requires excellent communication skills, patience and prompt completion of time-sensitive actions items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support as a lead FAE for key customers, remotely and at customer sites worldwide, to win and support accounts. Examples of technical support include assisting the design-in process by solving acoustic and electrical problems, answering product questions, reviewing hardware, and hands-on hardware debugging.
  • Support customer with design and integration of xMEMS silicon speakers in TWS, headphone, hearing health, smart glasses and audio playback systems. Perform tasks including creating and presenting customer demonstrations; tuning of xMEMS devices; performing audio performance measurements; demonstration xMEMS products.
  • Support customers with audio amplifiers designs, with tasks such as amplifier performance measurements and device bring-up and configuration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of directly related experience in audio applications or systems engineering.
  • Strong experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with hardware tools such as B&K, GRAS, Audio Precision, Listen Inc. (Soundcheck) or similar.
  • Understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques.
  • Experienced setting up and operating audio equipment including mixers, amplifiers, equalizers, compressors.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.

The successful candidate will be an energetic and motivated sales leader with a proven track record in the U.S. semiconductor market, ideally with experience in audio technology.  The role will report to the VP of Sales. Key Responsibilities:
  • Set meetings with customers to present xMEMS value proposition and roadmaps.
  • Build personal relationship with engineering, purchasing and management at the customer base
  • Coordinate technical discussions with customer engineering and xMEMS technical resource
  • Input and update sales opportunities and forecast in SALESFORCE platform
  • Drive distribution network to uncover new customer opportunities
  • Drive distribution to forecast data on monthly bases for financial growth
  • Meet or exceed personal sales productivity goals and key metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Accurately document and report sales, schedules and activities
  • Collect customer feedback and provide sales/marketing channel insight and recommendations
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of successful Selling experience in the US Market
  • Focus on Semiconductor Industry preferrable in Audio Technology
  • History of working with large companies such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Etc
  • Shown working experience with ODMs overseas
  • Has experience working with multiple Distributors in territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
  • Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment
